Course Description:

Have you always enjoyed the Sunday funnies, and wanted to try cartooning yourself? This class is designed to introduce the basic skills involved in drawing cartoon characters and creating your own cartoon. We will study great character design, practice breaking down classic cartoon characters into simple forms and then use this knowledge to create our own new characters! Students will learn the classic techniques of cartoonists and practice using the materials professional cartoonists used from the past as well as today.
